Welcome to my tutorial tuesday #4

I am learning new things all the time lately.

I am learning to emboss with the Sizzix Big shot

and have used Tim Holtz

emboss pattern

I used the paper bag to create a gift bag and embossed the bag itself with a border

Then using this imagefrom Morgan Fitzsimons @ Scrapbook Stamp Society

I have colored

Placing image in top of white paper that is embossed with flower and vines

I have also added some Distressing ink by Tim Holtz also

Olive in color

Adding contact paper to Image of

Fairy Childstamp Forget me not

@ Scrapbook Stamp Society

Will make a great sticker

Just place the Contact paper face down cut to specs you need and then place image onto

Sticky surface and run from center out so you get no bubbles

Clear acts as if its not there

Beautiful!

I have added some lace with ribbon intertwined for a gift bag for a friend

Welcome to Momenta Mondays with Lilfeathescrappin'

I am pleased to share with a Little mailbox we made this weekend just sittin at the table

We were talking and doing nothing really so i took out some paper and started

Playing

I am using Momenta Card Stock

Chloes Garden

and then I used some Washi Tape

and made a little flag to match

Adding a little red rose to front of mailbox for handle

The box is green one side of the papers color

and the door is the opposite side of paper

Take a peek

Flag attached with Washi Tape and then

flag is with a toothpick and triangle then butterfly added

This is the whole box with one 12x12 sheet of paper

Hello Friends and Followers

Glad to have you come by today

I am proud to share with you some Deoration Idea I have had for some Upcoming parties

I also have a upcoming 100th blogpost for Candy soon too

So maybe these will be nice also

I am upset to say i didnt have the right size sandwiches for my Sizzix this time and was unable to cut this with My New Machine.

Wa Wa

I decided not to wait any longer and be creative

I traced them and created my own pattern

Edges arent as nice or perfect

But hey I managed

I have used some GCD papers

they are kinda cool

Like a Bandana

These will be fab as a decoration and party favor 2 in 1
I will load these little guys up with candies and some special gifts.
This paper is great it lets you show 2 colors and 4 colors pretty awesome

I traced, cut out and glued them together
Now piecing the takeouts together and placing a handle on them
They are ready for lettering or #'s
whatever your little heart desires

This next one is showing the lace on the one box also

 

Now I have added a Sentiment for the Party post

This is a takeout box for my 100th Blog Post candy

I wanted to cut with My Sizzix Big Shot So bad but my extra long boards had not come in yet

Tutorial Tuesday - #3 SSS

Good Morning This Tutorial Tuesday #3

 i am learning lots with these tutorials and the others posted with SSS

Today on the Blog we have a simple tutorial on how to create a simple Blog Button

I have learned myself by playing with the sizes and adding things to the squares or whatever shape you end up with

I got mostly squares

Here is a simple blog Button I created for earth Day this past Week

I used my header from my blog to start and then open in a Photo Editor

My header is from a free site, comes with everything except Text

You place in the Editor and Create whatever you prefer afterward

Make Sure you give Credit to the Host of the Templates you use

( This is Only Fair)

When placing in photo editor you can manuever mostly whatever

In this i created approx size

of

111x82

or just keep messing with to see what you prefer

I then can add color or take away

I also can use different methods such as things like

60's, soften, googleeyes,  and lots more to create lots

There are so many Fonts

and different and ways to decorate you just need to find what you are looking for

After finding my color scheme

I add my logo or whatever the button is for

So inside the photo editor all the different tabs

such as

Crop

Color

Position

TexT

Stickers

Fonts

Decorations

Tags

and Lots Lots More

So when you feel like take a moment and try one yourself

City Folk Gardening! with Momenta

City Folk Gardening!

Organic sugar peas

We just love fresh vegetables

When the girls were younger we lived in the city and had small yards if any

We always loved fresh veggies and had to have our own garden.

So we Managed with what we had.

This is a layout with the girls when they were in elementary school.

This is our back side yard and we had peas, pumpkins, tomatoes, beans, zuchinni, and crooked neck squash.

Great looking plants

Love the gardening and the fruits of labor

veggies and kids

what a great day to wake up and hear the birds singing, and the air rustle through the leaves and trees.

I am happy to share some gardening ideas I have and have implemented in my newly found garden area.
I have created some Topsy Turvy Planters

Easy peasy

You start with a piece of rebar and pound into the ground where you want the planter to be

Placing the largest planter in the ground,

then placing others above of different size or shape to create the topsy turvy effect and dont put them all one direction.

Here i have started a planter with a Suzy Bell Crate - Wood

This one is challenging to me .....Wish me Luck Here.

These 2 have been primed with some leftover green paint and will be painted and planted soon this week.

Update - i got a deal on some plants this weekend

3 of these for about the price of 1 1/2

awesome

 

There are petunias, daisys, marigolds, Dhalias, Tulips, Iriss, and lots more growing here

Seeds are Awesome little critters

Pics with new blooms and finished Topsy turvy will be after mothers Day Due to Weather Restirictions  -FYI

I have been using recycled barrels and planters.

The next card is made with the same set and i love it

This would be great for a couple card, i have colored some of the stamp

I love to color them and then look back and see which one is the eye catcher

I have created this image with some markers and then added it to some GDC papers

I have lined image with lilac twine and added small bells to top with lilac twine also

using 1 pink button at each end

I have used lilac silk ribbon to create the binding adding a butterfly

Black white striped ribbon to create a depth effect for this Fairy Cover

Sweet 16 Birthday - Momenta and SSS

Oh My Goodness, So Quick, Sweet 16

This is my littlest, just cant believe time flies
I have created a framework for my daughter to hang on her wall

This is a special day for all of us and This will bring back memories for years to come

I have taken a 4x6 wood frame

I have cutout piece of Chloes garden paper pad from Momenta, used as a background

Fashion Dollies, Mothers Pearls, Daddy Shoes Lil Ragamuffin

Good day Everyone!

Its a great day.  I have been creating some cards

I love the digis at Scrapbook Stamp Society

They are so Girly and Fun

Today I have used a Free Digi that I got In the April Newsletter
Fashion Dollies mothers pearls and Daddys Shoes Lil Ragamuffin

If you sign up you can get one a month also

She is a cutie

I have created 2 different cards with the same image

First Card is my favorite.

I colored her with markers and placed on some Momenta 5x7 Cardstock

I then used a flower punch to create flowers along edges and

the stamp set is from Sweet Stamp Shop

The using these items together

and a Surprise Tab on the Edge

Love the purple

the next card is the same image with

2nd card is for A Sweet

Princess

She is Dazzled with Slight red and love the Balloon

I have used the digi image and then ran birthday stamp around edging for some depth

Using Twine i created the binding for the Card and placed a button

Hello Friends, today i am working with a image i won from Tiffany doodles

I have only used part of the stamps here and am in process of another project.

To day I have created a Treat bag

I love to use brown paper bags and create lovely little treat or gift bags for kids and loved ones.

Using the brown bag i have added the chick image in 2 colors and then also placed

a sentiment of Home Grown Tweet

They are two cute chicks

full of color

and love to be Home Grown

adding some Lilac Twine and Pink Button for Closure

The letters are from Momenta

 

This will hold candies, seeds, little tweets and lots more

Your imagination is the limit

This is great idea for parties and gifts

I have created this with party in mind.

Using a bottle with the older tops You dont see a lot of these anymore

I have added the image and then added some Ribbon to bring out the bottle more

Soap/Lotion Dispensers

Love working with the canning jars

This time i have created a Dispensar

I added a new lid and pump for use with Soaps and Lotions

This is a great Gift and Looks wonderful in The Country Kitchen or just to have as a spare dispenser

These are only in Red with White Speckles and I have a Limit of 5 Available so please contact me if interested.

These are 3 different Jars

one is ball, kerr, and just a jar

Easter Weekend!

Hoppy Easter !

Hope everyone Enjoyed Friends and Family and there selves this weekend

We had a great one and today will be even more enjoyable

My oldest was guaranteed a bed at college and date is set

Oh Boy, she is moving out to college in August

What shall a mother Do

Try to Relax and Enjoy??

Lol

I have created a load of candles this weekend

using all my excess jars on premises to create wonderful clean burning smelling candles

I am using Soy Wax and this burns cleaner and leaves no black soot on your walls or candle jars.

This is better for say an asthmatic person or someone with allergies

They are handpoured and then jarred and decorated

They are 4oz and bigger and start @ $5 each burning 12 hours or more

Most of these pictured above are 12 oz or larger and will burn at least 20 hours
if not more
and will burn til last drop wax gone

I also have some with these really cool tops

They have cutouts and stay on as Candles Burn

I also have a created a very cute Dish Soap Dispensar This weekend with the help of hubby creating the right size hole for the pieces Ya Hubby!  Love ya Lotz
